BOOK REVIEWS

Does your book need a signal boost? Are you hoping to connect with more readers?

Book reviews are a FREE SERVICE offered to authors looking for more publicity for their books. Kyle is very open to reviewing all sorts of genres, including nonfiction and poetry, though specializes in the genres listed above. Kyle does NOT charge a fee for these services, but he retains the right to refuse a review if the book doesn't seem right for him. Reviews are posted on The Underground, Goodreads, and Amazon.

AUTHENTICITY/SENSITIVITY READS

Kyle offers authenticity reads at a competitive price on topics related to social work, LGBTQ2+, and life in Canada. Authenticity reads are a 'partial' editing service, where an edit letter is provided focusing on the chosen topic and how sensitively and authentically the topic is covered. Kyle also offers a follow-up service to discuss the edits, either in a phone call, Zoom, or over email.

Area of expertise: social work (systems, residential care, foster care, group homes, apprehensions, etc.), mental illnesses, mental health and well-being, trauma, as well as developmental disorders (both firsthand and secondhand knowledge), self-harm, suicide, drug use, including detox, rehabilitation centers/systems, therapy/crisis intervention, LGB issues and experiences (a focus on bisexuality, lesbians, coming out), as well as transgender experiences (FTM experience, nonbinary genders, with a lot of knowledge about MTF experiences), and can help with Canadian characters or settings.
